Back pain may affect one individual as a result of falls, slips, lack of exercise, as a part of other diseases etc. Even if the pain is not very intense, negligence and lack of treatment will lead to serious physical issues. Back pain may start with muscle ache and may radiate into the legs or feet, and may include symptoms other than pain.
In Ayurveda, back pain is known as nitamba shoola or kati shoola, and leads to bone and muscle weakness. Kati vata, prishta shoola, kati graha, trika shoola and trika graha are the other common names in Ayurveda for back pain.
